【Student Achievement】Tamura and Omori's Team, Niigata University of Health and Welfare A (2nd), Wins the Independence League Hokushinetsu and Qualifies for the National Tournament!
Niigata University of Health and Welfare A (2nd), which includes Ochi Lab students Kazuya Tamura (3rd year) and Haruki Omori (4th year), won the final of the "2026 Independence League Hokushinetsu" final round and secured a spot in the national tournament starting on Tuesday, November 17. 🎊
Their opponent in the final was Niigata University of Health and Welfare B (3rd), another team from our university. Ochi Lab students Wataru Yamashiro (4th year), Yubuki Fujishima (4th year), and Sousuke Jinba (3rd year) belong to the 3rd team, making the final a match between teams that both include our lab members.

Both teams created chances in front of goal throughout regular time, but neither side conceded thanks to determined defending, and the match went into extra time. In the 2nd minute of the first half of extra time, the 2nd team scored from a set piece and held on to that single goal.
